The idea for the User Groups grew from the vision of Power BI users wanting to connect with other users and learn firsthand the best way to leverage the software they used every day.
A Member-Driven Organization
We look at everything we do, from our educational offerings to our member benefits to our annual user conference, as a way to help members achieve your ultimate goal - growing your knowledge and competency in your Power BI system.
With that in mind, members are at the forefront of our content and strategy. Our Advisory Committee, made up of member representatives, leads the strategic direction of PowerBIUG. Members volunteer their time and talents to present webinars, lead PUG meetings and share their tips. With each new member, the value of the community and the shared knowledge base grows - increasing the learning and education for all who are engaged.

Meetup is an online service used to create groups that host local in-person events. As of 2017, there are about 35 million Meetup users. Each user can be a member of multiple groups or RSVP for any number of events. Users are usually using the website to find friends, share a hobby, or for professional networking. Meetup users do not have "followers" or other direct connections with each other like on other social media sites.
